4+1 squadsIf using a 4+1 squad, the support hero from another class (typically Murphy, Lucius, or Adam) can remain at EW10 until all other main heroes are upgraded to EW30, since the EW20 bonus applies to 1 hero only.

Unlocking a new Exclusive Weapon requires 50 named shards. Unlocking is tracked separately from this upgrade planner.

What do the EW milestones mean?
  • EW1: EW1 typically unlocks a useful ability and is relatively inexpensive.
  • EW10: EW10 typically unlocks a useful ability and is relatively inexpensive.
  • EW20: EW20 boosts attack / HP / defense of the entire squad of the same class by 7.5%.
  • EW30: EW30 adds another hero-specific ability/benefit. EW30 should generally not be rushed at the expense of getting the whole main squad to EW20.
